Hello, I am currently building a Thinline Telecaster. The Body is made of cherry, the cover pear. I milled the guitar on my own milling machine. I had planned Tonerider pickups, the pickup on the neck but was exchanged for a P90. More pictures will come when the guitar is ready.
    Greetings, Rainer.

Really pretty! I have a P90 neck pickup in one of mine and really enjoy it.

That pear top is really going to be dazzling under finish. I've only seen pear trees in orchards. Obviously they can grow much larger if allowed. Beautiful work!

    It looks gorgeous -
but forgive me for plain speaking, I think the ornate bridge and control plate take away from the beauty of the guitar, not add to it... just me
    Great craftsmanship!

That top and "so-called f-hole" design is amazingly nice to look at!

I agree. It’s a great looking top and those just clash too much. I have the exact same set except in black and white. Eventually I’m gonna put them on.... um....
....a black and white guitar. :p

Pear was occasionally used by luthiers in Brescia and Cremona to make backs and ribs of viol da gamba and violin family instruments. While it isn't a popular choice today, it actually does have a long history as an early tonewood.
