Hey there, just some guy getting old but fighting it, I've been modding guitars ever since I started learning, I'm mostly a blocked trem strat guy but teles are awesome.

At 17 I got a broken fender jaguar and a cheap neck and put then together for my first guitar, sold it for 20 times what it cost me acouple of years later and I'll forever regret it, it turned me into a tinkerer I think...

I'm a tech support guy not very knowledgeable but good googler.

I just finshed modding my orange squier affinity tele, I know, I know, a squier but it does so much so well and I've learned a lot about setting it up...

    It's got locking tuners
    hot rails in the bridge
    soapbar HB in the neck
500k pots and 3-way switch harness from gfs
    copper tape shielding
cut pickguard and somewhat hid the exposed holes with molten orange crayons...

It screams both visually and audibly...

Hello from just over the border. We used to send kids teams down your way to do church stuff locally. The kids all came back wanting to move to your fair city (we were in NE Oklahoma so I can't blame them).

I have thought about retiring to your fair country, albeit on the other side of the country in Ensenada.

Welcome aboard! FWIW, few here would ever shame you for a Squire. Or, any other guitar, for that matter.

Hi, I've visited Oklahoma City in the past, lots of red dust if I correctly remember...the very few people I met were nice, some very much fans of John Deere tractors...

Reynosa isn't pretty by any means but there still some sense of community that's missing in many parts of the world... But it's slowly fading away...

I mean, I could sell my car and buy a $5K Tele, it wouldn't sound much better, but that would be a matter of talent lol!

Looks great, good job with the crayon. What's the headstock logo? My Affinity is my favorite.
