Hey guys, i have already posted this in home depot but was told since im new that i should post here just in case. Sooooooo here goes.
Im normally a tele guy, as seen in photo, but recently got my hands on a cheap lil V. I plan to mod out a bit, nothing crazy but like , tuners, pickups, smoothe the frets . maybe replace the neck (w/a tele neck) lol thatll trip gibson fans out.
And just in general turn this lil cheap project into something unique and cool, was wondering if i am posting in the right area, and if anybody else has had any experience with this sort of thing
    thanks! 196149577_348731333252853_2906074723929056397_n.jpg 196556977_166176708749277_3350925986496511337_n.jpg 196860432_504742947427136_13442574067180260_n.jpg 198695205_226412245985547_3763750517160126842_n.jpg 198817497_988580861878741_1182692081952363028_n.jpg 201138746_195489775813762_7454539278451206428_n.jpg 201885119_521898935834644_6664957002522068422_n.jpg

Looks like a fun project. I found an old Harmony V in a pawn shop a while back. I'm in the process of putting in some different pickups, pots and knobs. Putting a tele neck on it will wig out some Fender fans too, especially if you use bootleg labels. It's your's, have fun with it. Welcome to the forum.

    Welcome to TDPRI.

You will need to be careful as the Fender and Gibson scale lengths differ. If the V is standard Gibson scale you may not be abl to intonate unles you either move the bridge or tweak the neck pocket.

Thinking about it, to retain a 25.5" scale you will have to move the bridge away from the neck, as it is the only practical way of maintaining 25.5" between nut and bridge on a guitar designed for a 24.75" scale.
