    Rather quickly, I might add.

Yesterday morning I met a guy I had struck a deal with on an ASAT Blues Boy in natural ash/maple board.

The guitar supposedly had a Duncan Seth Lover humbucker along with the stock bridge pickup, had just been restrung AND received a pro setup. I was given the receipt for the work along with the guitar.

The setup is terrific, the tone of this 'hot' pickup equipped Tele is fantastic! The mid position simply sings!

Anyway, this is the best purchase I have made in a long time. A great instrument, seriously, for all of $360! I can tell you, it made my day for sure.

Yep, I chucked some hot Bootstrap P90s in my cheap G&L and it's now unspeakably good.

    Can't think of a better-made cheap guitar than a G&L tribute.

G&L are the "best bang for the buck" guitars IMO .

Oh, man, I'm not in a band, not gigging anywhere, don't have any justification, but I have been looking real hard at a G & L ASAT Tribute. The $540 one with MFD pickups and a glossy butterscotch blonde finish to go with the maple fretboard keeps calling my name.

Maybe I can settle for one of the other finishes, at $500.

But T-style guitars need to be either butterscotch blonde or a natural wood color.

I don't think its a cheap guitar, because its of good build quality. Like the Who said, its a bargain, best you ever had .....well something like that:rolleyes:

I’ve been wanting a Tribute ASAT Classic with the MFDs. They look amazing, but I’d worry about the neck.

Nice guitar. G&L's Tribute line is excellent. I have a Tribute Fallout ($300 barely used) and a USA Comanche ($1,500 barely used) and they are amazingly comparable in build quality, both great guitars. In fact, I'll bet the Tribute line eats into their USA-made sales. The G&L bean counters must not be calling the shots - thank goodness.

I bet it's expanded their brand enough that their USA sales didn't take a hit in the long run. There is much more G&L chatter now than a decade ago.

My G&L ASAT Special Tribute plays along without shame next to my 2 Gibson or Vigier. It need fret work (reason why it was a B stock bargain), but once done, what a player. The jumbo MFD pick ups are ace too. Great oick ups.

I really like their guitar. I wish they throw 12 inch radius on a lefty and their tribute models

Great guitar - I have the orange version and love it. I've considered upgrading to that Seth Lover but then I hear other folks say it's nearly the same. I hate to fix it if it ain't broke. That zebra PUP looks awesome and I bet it sounds great.
