Ill post some build pics soon of this guitar I'm constructing for my man-child lol ....

It is inspired by this guitar which I had in my possession for a minute to install and EVH DeTuna... we loved this thing, It was great! So now we try to make one kind of like it *thumb's up*

i always think that the ware of the guitar of the first pickture is obvious fake, and more even when you compare it with the guitar on the vid.
you have scrapes left of the bodyblank.
i would use them to test things like thee fluid to stain the body to a more used and old color.
coffee is i think to dark.
i know, wood will color itself over time when not applied with a finish, but than again, you have to wait a while ;-)

I made a bunch of Jackson and Charvel tribute bodies and necks back in the 80's and early 90's. I owned a Charvel strat with one humbucker and a Kahler trem. That was kind of a cool guitar that I thought I'd re-make some day. I have the Kahler...:). I don't think I'd relic the paint like in the photo though. It's kind of over the top and looks fake to me...

Like VERY fake? I'm not into the relic thing anyway but if I was it would be the natural route, not body in the freezer or hardware in acid fumes I mean geeeez, really?

Looks great so far.

Just curious - did the original have a swimming pool route? I'm sure the impact on tone is negligible, but I always thought "the more wood the better".

Thank you, the only reason I did that route was that it’s not the lightest piece of swamp ash in the world.

Yes sir! Do it!
We’re not sure what to do yet with finish... maybe trans white, trans black, trans sea foam, trans am?

ya I think I’ll keep this one looking fresh I think.

Looks like a super cool project!
