Charlie Watts had an emergency "procedure" and will be sitting out the Rolling Stones fall U.S. tour. It will be their first time without him on stage in 58 years. Steve Jordan, Keith Richards' Xpensive Winos bandmate, co-writer and co-producer, will be playing in his stead. Things like this are inevitable, but it really makes me sad. Ronnie just recovered from cancer yet again and now this. It can't go on much longer. I saw them in 2019. It was the best of the four Stones shows I've attended over the last 32 years, and I just bought tickets to see them in October. I understand that they didn't want yet another postponement in the wake of the pandemic-scuttled 2020 tour and the delays on the 2019 tour because of Mick's heart valve replacement, but the wording worries me. The spokesman's statement says "I gather his doctors this week concluded..." That's weak wording that leaves room for the possibility that the doctor said nothing of the sort.
