Say what? I wasn't talking to, or about, you.

Besides, the guys I know in recovery keep this s**t to themselves...something about, uh, anonymity.

Charles Manson did what he wanted too. I respect Charlie Sheen as someone with a fatal and debilitating disease that could be arrested by abstinence that causes great pain to many people besides himself. I wish him well but expect he will die and ugly and embarrassing death.

Charlie is the guy on the front of the Titanic shouting "I'm the king of the world!" I think he's about to hit an iceberg.

All they have to do on the show is to kill him off and bring in someone new, which I've heard is in the works. He may be professional and all, but he's still a mess. Look at all the shows Keith Richards played when he was totally out of it. There's such a thing as a fuctioning addict.

Perhaps Charlie will now channel Andy, who'll show up with the little record player and lip-synch that deathless line-

"HEERE I come to save the day!"

Crafty, indeed. The half-truth is an addict's best friend, I'm afraid. Nothing worse than hearing one come at you, knowing that there's more to the story, but not being able to get at it.

Addiction's no good....no doubt about it.

I didnt think you were talking about me, I was just sharing what most people say about the cult or brainwashing thing cause I think it the aa comeback is funny. I have said I am sober but have not said if I do or do not go to meetings or if I like or dislike AA. I think writing on a forum under a screen name is pretty anonymous...

Lenny Bruce levels of paranoia without the Kaufman "Mighty Mouse" level of appeal.

The downward spiral is what I see.

Huh? I still don't see what any of this has to do with disrespecting the unemployed. Hhh

Well, now his show's been canceled so let the downward spiral begin.

Methinks this guy's been out of control for so long that it's all he knows. Either he's going to do a Stevie Ray Vaughan and hit rock bottom and admit he needs help, or he'll either end up in jail for killing a porn star or die of an overdose. I suspect there's a lot of cocaine fueling his attitude right now.

I have no doubt that Chuck Lorre is probably a PITA to work for, but Sheen seems absolutely crazed in some of his recent interviews. Sounds a lot like some of the crackheads I see on the street every day.

Somewhere, Mel Gibson is breathing a sigh of relief.

The show has not been canceled, only the remaining episodes of this season.

In his recent rants, Charlie Sheen strikes me as somebody who knows, deep down, that he's screwed up his life virtually beyond repair, has thrown away a truckload of things the average person only dreams of having -- and is desperately trying to convince the world and himself that he doesn't care. That he's still having the time of his life, and that the public should stop pitying him and get busy envying him.

I know a guy like that. He said he no longer wishes to be my friend and I know it is because he wants every conversation to be deep and about recovery and every time we get together to be cathartic.

    Slowly..

The real victim here is Jon Cryer. He was on a gravy train with biscuit wheels.

I just paid my Amex bill, $1,837.64 worth of stuff that most unemployed people would consider frivolous and wasteful "in this economy" not counting the $380.00 I just spent on another guitar to add to the pile. How I spend my money and how hard I work to earn it has nothing to do with people who don't have jobs. To the contrary it contributes to people who have jobs keeping them. Same with Charlie Sheen. He generates whatever money he generates, it has nothing to do with talented or untalented people being out of work. It's his life to live as he chooses. If we all have to start worrying about people with no jobs or money every time we make a choice, life is going to get really weird.

He's actually not being blase about it at all. He's talking about how CBS and Warner Bros.' actions are hurting his family, etc. If anything, he's being a bit melodramatic, considering how much he's already banked.

It's simple supply and demand. Sheen has demonstrated that his services are in-demand from the public and valuable to the network and studio. For whatever reason, Mr. Anonymous Talented Guy has not demonstrated this, therefore he doesn't deserve that kind of money.

"Two and a Half Men" has generated hundreds of millions of dollars in profit. The show is built around Sheen's persona and reliant on his presence for its success. Why shouldn't Sheen be grabbing as much of that money as the market will bear?

    A steel guitar engagment.

Cryer has more comedic talent in one finger than sheen has in his entire body. The dude is his generation's equivalent to Don Knotts.

Without Martin squirting him out, Charlie might be a has been minor league pitcher.
