I was never a big fan of the stuff I heard him do on the radio, but here is Charlie Rich and his piano...doing a demo of Feel Like Going Home. (Slide show only, sorry, but it's the only one I could find with the demo version.)

This is my favorite rendition of this song. What a talented musician he was.

I love The Silver Fox. That would include radio-friendly sides such as "Behind Closed Doors". What a great song. Occasionally, I cover "Don't Put No Headstone on My Grave".

I've been singing "Mohair Sam" for about 40 years. (Yeah, I know, finish the song already!) The tune was a favorite of both Elvis and the Beatles. The writer Peter Guralnick has written about Charlie Rich.

I think it was Sam Philipps who said that Charlie Rich was the most talented
musician who ever walked through the doors of Sun Records. That's saying
    a lot.

Elvis was supposed playing along to that tune on bass as he watched TV when The Beatles stepped into the room to meet him at his Bel Air mansion.

Played "Midnight Blues" on Fri. I wanna get "Whirwind" or "Philidelphia Baby" next. "Sittin' & Thinking"-- man, that's a killer song too!

Thanks a mill for the post! Never heard this version!!!!
