Charcoal for me. The flavor is worth the extra effort, IMHO. I've been grilling since 1976 when mom and dad would go out of town for the weekend. My friends would come over and we'd move everything out of the living room and set up the drums/amps/etc. I'd usually cook chicken or burgers for the crowd on dad's grill. Always charcoal. I've owned many, many grills over the years and I've never cooked once on a gas grill. Here's the first grill I owned right after getting married - 1984, and my latest.. The new one was a very special and unexpected Christmas gift from the family. Which do you guys and gals prefer? On an off-topic to the off-topic; my daughter's boyfriend, who is building my first Tele just texted me asking what size strings do I use... GETTING CLOSE!!
