Danish Pete seems like a nice enough guy, the guitar looks pretty cool. I can't watch those youtube videos because Pete and that other guy spend so much time talking. Does anyone else feel that way? lol He's a great player though.
I'd never buy anything associated with the Chapman guy. Don't care for him at all.

Been following Chapman guitars for a long time and owned a few (still have my Ghost Fret Pro). In 2020 I bought an ML3 Pro Modern, which was a great guitar. The Chapman Pro models were made in Korea and had great features for mid-level money: 24 stainless steel jumbo frets, mahogany body with deeply carved solid top, ebony fretboard, coil split, glow side dots, Hipshot locking tuners, deep tapered set neck heel, HSC. I sold it for the same money I paid, back then Chapman was only available through a couple of retailers so it retained value.

Danish Pete (great player and funny guy) seems to love Tele-style guitars and has really put together a beauty there. Very traditional Tele style.

Here’s my old ML3:

Actually, when it's Pete and the Captain, they're great. It's the other two- That Pedal Show- THOSE guys talk way too much for me. And Pete/Captain always look like they're having fun, the other two, not as much.

I stopped watching both.
Pete and the Captain.....well, it's Anderton Music - they need to sell the stuff they have stocked in their shop.....and frankly, I strongly dislike Rob Chapmann. It doesn't matter what he's testing - around 3 minutes in, he'll dial in some mad highgain sound and starts to squeal along. Boring beyond belief.
That Pedal Show contains lots of good information, but the videos are just too long. It doesn't take an hour to get an idea of "how to stack overdrive pedals" or "which delay suits you best". It's tiring.

They mention that the model they are showing is the "affordable version". Is the "affordable" one the one priced @ 1G? If so then how much is the expensive version I wonder, where is it made and what makes it worth the extra dosh.

EDIT: Nvmd I found the answers. The premium version will be made in the UK and goes for around 2,500 quid.

If you know Danish Pete from Anderton's YouTube channel, he worked with Rob Chapman of Chapman guitars to develop a more vintage-ish T-style guitar. Pretty nice. Over $1,000 but has the potential to compete well with other offerings at the price point, I think--

There's been a long and disgraceful history with Chapman Guitars.
And also a long and dodgy connection between Rob Chapman and Andertons Guitars.
I suggest people give this company a wide berth and Danish Pete is crucifying his reputation if he's involved with him imo :)

I'm of the mindset, if I want a vintage/traditional T-style guitar, then it has to look exactly like a Telecaster. So its a no, from me.

I actually think the ML-3 is one of the nicest looking interpretations of the modern T-style. Would happily have one of them.

As per talking in youtube videos. I'll take that over noodling any day of the week, especially tiresome blues licks. Boring.

KDH isn't worth anyones time. Unless to believe they didn't land on the moon or reptilians are running the MSM. Guitar shop tries to sell guitars shocker! 😂

I think Andertons are pretty well up on how to engage social media and get a message out there. I thought at first look this would be the guitar filling the gap left by Rabea Massaad. I nearly bought one of those 5 years back - the £1100 one before the final ML3 one. But this Pete Honore one seems to have cut corners with Wilkinson HW, which although OK (I have a Wilkinson bridge on one guitar) is not the same as the first Rabea model. Nice, but doesn't do it for me. Nothing in the specs about the pots and wiring - so, I'd want to change the bridge, the tuners, the pickups, circuitry and the pots. That's a £400 upgrade - and then it's right in a fight for what's the best Tele at £1400 where there are good options.

Just dropped in to say the dpt is very comfortable to play and the pickups are nice. I've been playing it about nine months every weekend gig. Use it every day. The upgrade I personally did was install a mojotone wiring harness a few months back. Feels good jamming with it. Looks cool.

I wouldn't buy a Chapman guitar, whatsoever. I really have a strong dislike for guy, from his days on the Anderton demo videos.
