Is it my ears but do you find that when you have been playing a humbucker guitar for a little while then go to your single coil guitar, it sounds thin and a bit weak. The reverse is also true for me to.
After playing a single coil guitar, going to a humbucker guitar it sounds dull and muddy.
I soon get used to it but back to back its very stark.

I think single coils are like a Swiss army, knife
You can just do more with them . They take pedals better
Still love my buckers and dynacos and p90 singles but
More like a great one trick pony.
