noticed this on a home build. Neck is slightly separated from body. Any thoughts on how to repair?

Remove/clean/refit and reglue. It appears to be a poor glue joint IMHO.

And before resetting the neck, just be sure to double check if the neck angle is right.

Exactly what D'tar said. And get every bit of the old glue out of there before redoing it unless its HHG

it does look like someone tried to put a setneck on a bolt on body, difficult to tell for sure in the pictures. If you can clean out the glue and bolt it on it would much easier to adjust the neck in the future.

I have set neck guitars and bolt-ons, prefer the bolt-ons whenever possible. all set necks, will eventually need reset, unless they are carbon fiber or someother esoteric design.

Definitely not a bolt on body. And that someone was me, but stayed solid for the past couple years until recently. Either way, the joint failed. Was my first and probably last set neck attempt.

As Bob Dylan said “A change in the weather is known to be extreme, but what’s the sense of changing horses in midstream?”
