Andy is part of Reverb.com. And he's no engineer, AFAIK.

I was thinking as a front man. I forgot that he is working for Reverb though.

Catalinbread transitions to the reverb.com house brand...problem solved, if only you could get the Cbread band back together.

Love my Kat!! Had a glow in the dark Rat in the 90's. The Kat doesn't glow in the dark but is much more versatile.

I used to have one of their first issues, the clean boost with white leatherette covering. Gave it to a friend, who still has it on his pedal board.

It's really cool. Up to about four o'clock, it boosts. But dime it, and wham! Crunch City, USA!

Well, I was thinking about getting a SFT. Maybe I should get it now while I still can, and the quality is still good.

Why care about a brand name? It's just a name and a logo.
    Nick's dead, Howard's gone.

If Howard comes back, great. Otherwise, why not hope Howard gets involved with making some great pedals with a different brand name and logo?

    Gibson should buy them.

That would actually be a smart move on Gibson....so my money is that it won't happen....

Gibson is short on cash and Id worry what could happen to both companies in the coming year.

Of the area pedal makers I would say Mr Black or Spaceman should do it and take on the production staff given it would likely not dilute their existing line ups.

Just the finance guy in me thinking out loud without seeing any balance sheets....

CBMB but do the font like CBGB

I really like that idea. Unfortunately, I think without Nick and Howard, I wonder if there is enough creativity left to grow? Sadly, without the soul of the company, it will take more than a bunch of BE Deluxes to keep the doors open.:(

Seems they've missed April 1st and decided to unleash the joke by the middle of the week anyway.

All the settings sound THE SAME! For real? "Fancy boost" this, "tone enhancer" that, all the very same!

I don't think they need anything new for quite a while. If they could keep quality up and just manufacture what they have, it will sell for quite a while. I think the regular old BE was already the best fake tape echo pedal, and I'd love a deluxe just for the improved preamp. No one else is offering that, but I'm afraid to buy one now. Catalinbread could coast quite a ways right now on what they have, and assuming there are schematics, they could maybe even re-release the old cool stuff if experimentation ever comes back in style instead of fake amps.

But, who knows what Nick's mom will do.
