You, sir, have a beautiful Tele. No need to even try to change your mind. Besides, your mind is made up! :)

I concur. But I do like the OP’s Tele. Just love me some natural looking guitars.

I’ve got nothing complete to show atm, but here’s a couple of bodies I’m working on.

Met with some friends from out of town tonight, so I'm just now checking back in. And Wow! A lot's happened, not the least of which is this thread getting moved. I'm okay with that, I guess, although I'm not sure why it was moved. Oh, well...onward and upward.

I wouldn't go with a pearloid pickguard myself, but otherwise, Wow! That is an eye-catching guitar!

I really love the look and tone of Clapton's BF Tele/ Strat.
You can tell Eric is trying to be invisible and laid back ( maybe out of it?) but I still love his phrasing and vibrato here.

It looks like ( well, sounds like) the Tele has original wiring which means in middle PU position, we are hearing neck PU wide open ( no Tone control) - great sound!

The book-matching in the OP guitar is outstanding!

How am I supposed to change your mind, when I can’t even make up my own?

    Nice guitar, tho...

Very nice. Where did you get that bridge? Is it glued in place. I might be tempted to make another tele partscaster if I could find a bridge like that.

Larry, is this the new Proprietary Headstock Shape for Mr. Logan? I think that shape looks distinct and quite nice. I approve.

I'm not sure about the T type bridge pickup being at right angles like that. Are you getting a good signal from every string? I mean, I don't mind the pole piece being a little outboard from the string, and neck pickups on stock Stratocasters work fine, but does this arrangement actually work in use? Thanks.

This is a 2009 Fender Acoustasonic series Telecaster w/Fishman electronics. Basically an acoustic guitar in the bridge position and standard tele in the neck position. The bridge is glued to the body.

Wow, I am loving the sweep of the pickguard meeting the neck. Is that richlite? Looks like a wide roundover adding to the overall curves. Love it!

    Cheers!

It's an ebony fretboard and Bakelite pickguard. The round-over on the body is a 3/4" radius (good eye!). That's the reason why the pickguard is fairly pointy on the lower horn--because there's reduced flat area on the face of the body. I used the large roundover because the body is 1/2" thicker than a typical Tele, and even a 1/2" radius made it look huge and blocky.

It's chambered; two slabs of chestnut with a slice of yellowheart in the middle, like a swiss cheese sandwich on rustic bread, but all the holes line up:

Since the body is so thick, I recessed the back where the neck plate goes, and I also recessed the neck plate into the chestnut.

That is the coolest neck plate I have ever seen. Now I’m getting ideas. It never ends well when I get ideas. Why did you have to make me get ideas?!?
