I use a sw program, called PSpice that 'models' circuitry. Recently, I found a great site that had some very accurate tube models.
Naturally, the first thing I did was 'build' a Champ circuit. There are some limitations, like output transformers, but I think this simulation is working pretty well.
What I'd like from you folks is some real data to verify that my model is working as close to what it should as possible.
The other unfortunate thing is that I only have a 6L6 output tube model...no 6V6. I know there's folks out there with 6L6 powered Champs too, but the tubes are relatively close enough to make a good comparison.
If you have access to a scope, signal/function generator, a DVM...and a Champ, I'd much appreciate you taking a few readings for me!
