It's one I built.
I'd rather stand. Otherwise a stool. I really dislike sitting down for long periods of time.
I use an ergonomic kneeling chair. It works really well, you can wear the guitar as if you were standing or put one foot on the floor and it is like a short stool.
I voted “stool” because my music room also contains the cat’s litter box.
I use both kinds - chair, stool and sofa
My music room is also my living room and home office, so it's a chair for me.
Well, I certainly wouldn’t have any stool in my guitar room! That’s disgusting!
Upon further review, I realize that you were referring to a different kind of stool—I apologize.
Both, but I practice on the stool
I bought one of these long ago.... I really like it... for my height posture it’s perfect... I want another, but they are a bit pricy.... and take up a bit of room. Very well made, solid wood, called pick n glider...
I use a Roc n Soc drum throne, gas shock equipped.
I use a chair because that is what was around.
Chair with no arms, because I do programming, playing and mixing and a chair is most comfortable.
I have a drum throne for the pedal steel that's set at the right height.
My gear is in our spare bedroom, so I sit on the bed. Its not ideal, but when given the choice between a bunch of amps or a chair, I go with a bunch of amps every time!
We're going to get new windows upstairs soon. After that happens I want to loft the bed up like we used to do in our college apartments. I figure I will be able to get even more amps in there, and also have room for a stool at that point.
Chairs are for visitors. I play stand up
I currently have a chair, but I'm looking at getting a quality drum stool instead.
I've used guitar stools, thrones, and mechanic's shop stools. As long as it doesn't have arms, I'm good.
An office chair that I removed the armrest from in order to play guitar.
all of the above, Chairs , Stools and even a Couch !
