I made a post in this forum a couple minutes ago about the pickup springs that fell out. Might as well explain in this post what I'm trying to do- install a Certano Palm G/B palm bender in my Bullet Tele. This bender was designed for a vintage Tele with 3 so called "compensated?" saddles. Such bridges are not made for Squires so I have to use my existing one with the normal 6 saddles and hope for the best as far installing the bender (only 2 mounting screw holes needed to assemble). My saddles are OEM. I'm wondering if while I'm involved in this project anyone knows of a source of new saddles, preferably brass, that might do a better job of maintaining intonation? From what I've read on the web Squire Tele replacement saddles can vary is size. Don't know if that's because of different years of issue, where it was manufactured, or whatever. I just assume that the sturdier the better and that all replacements would fit. Correct?

I don’t know but I’d like to do one myself in the near future. I’m going for the replacement bridge version. It should be easier. Now I need a Tele. How did it go?

Please do tell. I’ve thought about removing the bridge, filling in holes and drilling my bullet for a “proper” Tele bridge using the string holes to align things. Also totally drooled over the Certano bender.

I was lucky enough to buy one 2nd hand.. and have a body that was standard ashtray mount.. intonation adjustments were tricky, working around the bender assembly
