We're all geeky enough here to not only post incessantly about our own guitars and gear, but we also post about our favorite artists as well. So, I thought I'd start this thread to post pictures of our favorite celebrity or professional guitarists' pedalboards and discuss them at a creepy, obsessive length ;)

From Diamond Rio, here's Jimmy Olander's board (taken presumably from someone else on this site...I didn't take the pic, but I did upload it to my Photobucket)

Here's a crummy pic of Garth Brooks' guitarist's board from his world tour in 2015:

Blurry, but you can pick out several Boss offerings, an Ibanez Tubescreamer, and what looks like a Visual Sound Son of Hyde along the bottom.

A few other threads taken from the front page of the Effects Pedals sub-board include
    Mark Knopfler:

    and Sturgill Simpson:

Dave Wronski of Slacktone. Possibly the finest surf guitar player ever to ride the reverb!

John 5 - Not your every day Telemaster! He stripped back to a simple rig when he overheard once that someone thought he was all effects!

2014 Solo and with Rob Zombie

2003 Effects Rack for the Manson years. He used a switcher on stage because of the havoc created on stage!

As far as I know, he uses Marshalls for just about everything nowadays.
Anyone have any pics of from his k.d. Lang days? ;)

    I'll play 1487814077292.png

First one is from Mike Cooley from the Drive By Truckers. Polytune, Boss SD1, Empress Fuzz, Boss Space Echo, amp footswitch.

The second is from Rick Miller from Southern Culture on the Skids. Polytune, amp tremolo switch, old Fulltone FD2, newer Xotic RC Booster 1487814295906.png

My favorite living guitarist, John Mclaughlin, has been using this board for the last three or four albums. Can't wait to see him and Jimmy Herring touring together in November (my wife and I got 3rd row center seats!)

    Heres something unorthadox...

Herring controls all aspects of his monitor mix with a series of Ernie Ball volume pedals. Each band member’s signal is assigned to a pedal, and he mixes them in and out, depending on the tune. The Rocktron MIDIPedal is for switching Fractal Axe-Fx Ultra patches.

I'm so confused. I thought good players just plugged straight in.

It's remarkable how pedestrian and simple most of these pedal boards are. I totally get it, Boss and other big-name pedals are available everywhere, so if something breaks down on a whirlwind tour, they only need to swing by the nearest guitar store. Yet, here I sit, as a budding hobbiest that's somehow acquired no less than 3 different overdrive pedals just by virtue of being involved in the guitar scene...

Wow! I'm kind of surprised by the Tuna Melts. I know Dano makes great sounding pedals, but I can't bring myself to buy one 'cuz they feel like happy meal toys.

I've never had a Danelectro pedal break on me. Those Tuna Melts are fantastic!

Most likely. The Elevation pedal kinda gives it away. Although I am surprised that his CAE Controller doesn't have 52 switches labeled Dotted Eighth.
