It’s a twin - Nashville and huge lion ... so should have the best of both worlds :)
Guitar tech is working around Xmas but I’m heading away for a week so I’m guessing I’ll get my guitar back Jan 2 :)

Brother, you make all kinds of stuff sound good with your vids, but the Cavs are still my favorite. Nice pickin'!

Well I joined the club with a Humongous Lion for my esquire partscaster.

    :):):):):):):):):):):cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

The esquire is a beast, very very close to sounding like a Junior, which is exactly what I was going for. Thanks Rob!!!

Does the Humongous turn down well with the volume knob?
And does it work well with 250k pots? I don't need twang, but does it have that Tele bite?
I was thinking Huge was for me, but Humongous it tempting!

I just sent Rob an email thanking him, and the turning down well was one of the things I mentioned. Yep, it's very P90-like in that respect, and others. Sounds great with the amp cranked and guitar volume down. Definitely retains bite. Very much works with 250 pots, but if you have any questions Rob will answer them:)

I too went back and forth on the Huge/Humongous choice. I don't think you could go wrong with either; but I was aiming for a very Junior-like sound and I'm happy with my choice for my partscaster esquire. It's a nasty boy!

So happy for you! Enjoy it! I'm looking hard at a Humungous/Fat/Nashville Hydra Lion for an Esquire I'm hoping to build. The Humungous sounds SOOO much like a P90. Cavs for the win again!!!

By robs definition the huge lion is very close to a p90 as well? Humongous just more so again?

I had Rob wind a Nocaster (43awg/A3s) to a bit above 13kdcr. It has the output and midrange of a P90 with just a hint of twang left in the voice. It crushes the front end in a great way, like a P90. If I roll the volume back, a bit of twang pokes through, but its just a killer rock/ fusion pup for what I’m doing lately. My journey has gone:
    1. straight Nashville Lion
    2. Nash/Fat Lion
    3. Huge Lion
    4. Nash/Huge Lion
    5. 13k Nocaster (Ludicrous Lion?)
Everyone of them are just SOO good!
The Lion King neck pickup works so well with all the above, its the only neck pickup I will ever need in a tele...

I've got a Fat Lion (9.2) in an Esquire with Rob's 3-way switch - just absolute incredible sounds in all positions (the one on the left in my avatar)

Pick up installed :) Very happy. Must admit i am using the huge lion most of the time but definitely has a much more pleasant sound than the standard pickup i had in the 83 :)

I just got an overwound (11k) Nocaster Lion from a fellow TDPRI brother. Will post a video when I get my Esquire assembled. I tried it in another tele though and it's killer.

I’m modding a Classic Player Tele to make it an Esquire. Have a Nashville Lion laying around and think I’ll pop it in there. Pretty excited. I’m going with 4 way modified switching.

    1) straight to jack
    2) through volume only
    3) through volume/tone
    4) Eldred mod (cocked wah)

I think the Nashville should work pretty well here.

50/51 is out now (not to be confused with the 51/52), for those who like the bright bite! Great full-range tone, not midrangey at all.

I've got it in the neck position of one of my Teles and it's possibly the best neck pickup I've heard in a Tele.

Nice! Will you be hanging it from the Strat pickguard, or changing to a Tele bridge?

The pickguard. I heard these Tele pickup's will fit in the existing route if you turn them around, I guess I'll find out.
