As for head cover I have seen just about everything , think Slash and the Edge and everybody in between.
Might have seen Mark Knopfler with a multicolour has been tennis player headband.
But I would use black, I saw Springsteen with black wrist things

Thanks guys. I wore a baseball hat at last night's practice, which helped keep the floor dry but got pretty gross. I also ordered a sweat band that should be arriving today, so I'm hoping that works a little better.

The advice about salt intake and drinking more water throughout the day is well taken. It is something I need to be more diligent about anyway.
