I know this sounds remedial but I want to setup a DPDT switch to test two different cathode bias circuits.
The DPDT is ON Off ON.
Is there any damage I can cause to the 12ax7 when it passes through the Off which is open circuit at that point? I can't put a ground or a resistor as the two ONs will always be in parallel. I don't want to ruin good tubes just to find out either.

    Thanks

Nope. Might make a pop, but won't hurt the tube.

Tons of amps do this to implement a switchable gain boost.

Thanks for the help, and the quick response. I'm going into the basement to implement the switch now.
