^^^^^that has to be a Barris design, Nay?^^^^^
With all you yanks on here suprised not to see one of these ....holy grail hot rod....32 Deuce...yes please
Wish this was my garage...
Anything impractical like 2 seaters, sports cars and over sized vehicles. I’m one guy with a partner and nephew in the home. I’ve got a Nissan Hatchback and I love it! It’s no AWD Subaru but it’s still my little go-cart. How much metal, plastic and empty space do you drive around everyday?
I have always wanted a chartreuse Coyote because of Hardcastle and McCormack.
The one I always wanted when I was young.
I'm not all that interested in working on cars anymore. I had my midlife car fun putting 5 years into a BMW. I'd much rather devote my free time to building and working on amps.
73 Corvette Stingray convertible in red........
hot rod Lincoln...
2003-2007 Porsche Carrera GT
Well, all of em
Last ten years, eyesight issues meant handing in my licence. Prior to that, I was involved in motorsport in my spare time and had access to some properly frightening cars - rally cars that could outdrag every road car ever made up to 120 mph.
There are cars I could never afford, cars so rare they'd be hard to find, and cars I just wouldn't waste petrol on.
Can't afford... Aston Martin DB5. I got to drive one and a DB9 for my 40th birthday. If you can, you should.
Too rare... Lancia Stratos.. I was actually planning to build a replica for my 50th before the eyes went bad.
Ones I wouldn't have if you paid me... It's a long list.
Somebody around here owns one of those. I’ve caught a couple of glimpses but haven’t had a chance to see it parked. Not my cup of tea, but interesting nonetheless.
Here’s what I want. I may have a Porsche, but I’ll never have the Porsche. New 992 GT3RS, in development clothing, at the ‘Ring:
And here’s the rub; I have to look at these kind of cars at our club events (or I used to pre-pandemic). And the guys that own them can wheel ‘em too; always at the top of our autocross results. Maybe I should have worked harder when I was young...
this was parked in front of a venue that we were playing. Some people say it’s the “La Ferrari” aka batmobile Ferrari. However this one’s body is different than the “La Ferrari”
I’d love me this Jag or my buddies Ferrari
First I wondered if this would be a series of unobtainable or can't stand them rides.
Something funny about the Lexus, is my neighbor's is actually growing on me within current design trends. At least you know what brand it is, and they don't have as many lines and sculpted parts as some others.
On nice road cars, my mother almost 90 insists on a luxury brand, and she's been buying cars often so I've done a lot of testing. I can't stop her. Why shouldn't someone who grew up poor and worked hard enjoy her later years..... What stands out in that testing is how often you realize driving the Acura, Lexus, Lincoln, Buick and more are driving the common version of the car too. They're all so good these days.
Between my mother's recent purchase and ours, the sleeper or unappreciated recent road cars are Subaru Legacy and VW Arteon. Avalon too but I don't like current Toyota styling trends. The new gen Subarus are luxury car solid and quiet with trim and power they didn't have before. One knock against the VW has been 4 cyl, but lots of nice and high end vehicles are smooth, quiet 4cyl these days. Forgetting various reputation issues, the VWs just handle well and feel good for short and long drives. The European cars we've had might not be the most reliable or cheapest but sure have nailed it on good characteristics for the driver.
Always wanted a 959, but....finances dictate that'll never happen....so I make do just fine with my little Honda Fit with a stick
Actually, that's exactly what I'd expect John to drive - but I'd also expect the matching trailer (for the gear, of course)
Peace - Deeve
Old man had a '59 XK150 fixed head coupe. This was in '74-'75, so not nearly as rare/expensive as they are today.
My own white wale: Singer 911 (unless someone wants to loan me a half mil or so)
I've always wanted a Ford GT40. Don't think i'll be owning one any time soon.
