One of many fine videos from Julia Hofer (okay, she's cute too). I not only admire her playing but her joy in playing the bass, feeling the groove, etc. Carol Kaye was part of so many incredible songs and these are a few.

Carol Kaye is one of my favorites - she can do it all and does it with a pick, even super funky like this tune:

I love Kaye. She had a great sense of melody and always served the song. Not many bass players understand melody as well as rhythm the way Kaye did. Probably why so many of her basslines are memorable.
