Makes more sense, but I swear I saw a caption that said wife Annie. I stand corrected.
rip mr r.
That episode was one of my alltime favorites, with Alan and his toupees. Also I think it's the one where I decided I wanted to take Mary Tyler Moore home with me and keep her.
You saw a caption, I saw a caption. Who knows which one is right? Maybe it was his wife....
What a great shot of Mel and Carl!
The Dick Vandyke show was my favorite show as a kid. What an all-star cast!
Carl and Mel Brooks did some of the greatest standup comedy ever!
It's his daughter.
Another legend gone, but a timeless body of work left.
RIP; I loved the Dick Van Dyke Show and the 2000 Year Old Man albums. Speaking of which, Mel better stick around for another 1,906 years, for truth in advertising!
Another "little" masterpiece that many aren't familiar with is The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming. A wonderful US/Russia/cold war send-up......but much subtler and "small scale" than something like Dr Strangelove. Rather than hitting its audience with a sledgehammer.....it tickles them with a feather.
Nice job on the crop to make that pic safe for here
Condolences to Rob and Mel and his family.
people that make us laugh or blow our minds with music - especially pro’s pros like Carl Reiner And Petty and the like -it’s like a holy calling and I hold them in the highest esteem.
He's not gone ...
Just taking a break ...
He will be back ...
With some new material ...
His son Rob will carry on ...
He's got the DNA .. .
Rob, please know that almost everyone who saw your Dad's work, loved him for it.
I didn't watch TV nearly as much as some, but I just loved everything your Dad was involved in.
Your family will always be Royalty, to me.
....the bestest ..
That one had my mom's favorite comic, Jonathan Winters, and a whole bunch of others. Good flick.
This hilarious Twitter thread answers the important questions: What ties together Carl Reiner, Sid Caesar, Charlton Heston, Beef Stroganoff, and Sauerbraten?
Pure genius! RIP
Definitely a comedic genius. He had a long, great ride
Thanks for the laughs
