Is it normal for the after control on the DOD Carcosa to crackle when turned? Wondering if mine has a dirty pot or if it's normal.

Maybe it's changing the bias like the famous "Krackle Okay" on the SHO.

My Fulltone Fat Boost 1 does that when you twist the gain knob, but Fuller says it's supposed to do that.

At home, but sometimes out and about.
Mine does the crackle on the AFTER knob as well. DC on a pot in an audio circuit generally produces crackle. The AFTER potentiometer adjusts a transistor bias level, which is a DC voltage.

How do you like your Carcosa? I'm pretty thrilled with all the great sounds, but mostly use it to add a wee bit of grit to my tone.

That's what I was hoping. Thanks.

I love the Carcosa. It's one of my favorite fuzz pedals.
