    Hi guys,

I found out that Fender had a custom color named capri orange, but I'd never heard of it. Can you guys tell me about it a little, I only saw one MIJ Strat with this color, and no one has a decent solid orange color for a strat/tele.

    Thanks

Wasn't is part of the International colors series?
    Sometime in the 80's?
I've seen most of the other colors, in person (so to speak).
Never seen Capri Orange, 'cept in pictures.

Yeah I'd seen it on pics, guitarfetish has these color bodies, and usually aftermarket companies are careful with trademark names. I wish I would know how orangy is fiesta red, Not even reranch has capri orange, except for their own transparent orange, and Orang Orange.

I saw the GFS body and like the color! I wonder why no one offers it? Have you tried USACG or Guitar Mill?

I believe the color was offered ten years ago because I almost got one. Looks great with a rosewood neck.

Red and Yellow make Orange. If you have spray equipment.
    Good luck with your project,

Took me 8 days to succumb to this gas pain this capri orange gave me and I ordered a xv-820 for the body. Watch for pic's to follow.

G&L has a limited run of guitars in "Detroit Muscle Car" colours. I'm digging the Hugger Orange.

Capri Orange seems more "creamsicle" to me.

I wonder if capri orange was the orange color I saw some time back in the '90s that I liked a lot. This store had both a strat and a tele in that color. I almost ended buying the strat, hesitated and went back and it was gone. I wasn't into teles at the time so I never even tried it.

I've got a squier strat that I'd gladly experiment with and have it painted that color if I could either find somebody with the right paint or find the paint myself. I've yet to try painting a guitar.

I thought it had a little metallic sheen to it but I could be mistaken, unless I'm thinking of a different finish.

The Capri Orange was from the 1981 "International Colors" Series, by Fender. This is my brother's '81 Capri Orange Strat - killer guitar!

God, I love Capri Orange. Seen some reliced Capri Orange bodies on eBay some years ago (probably 2012 and probably made by GFS) and it awakened something in me.

When I refinish my Tele, it will be in Capri Orange.
