Happy birthday and Happy New Bandsaw Day!

I like my jigsaw, but it's been increasingly somewhat of a pain using it to rough cut necks and bodies, templates, etc. Especially templates. So after months of compulsively researching affordable saws and dreaming about resawing my own tops instead of having to buy them on ebay, the box arrived today.

This thing is whisper quiet, smooth, and powerful. I think it might be a pretty good quality saw. Timberwolf blades on the way, one for tight curves and one for resaw. I feel like making some more templates just for the heck of it now!:D

Thanks, it was Sunday. Shipping took only 4 days, and the FedEx guy said I could keep the wood pallet he had to use to forklift the damn thing into the garage. That box was HEAVY. And I didn't do my back any favors putting it together today.:)

Excellent saw , I put the riser block in mine and use Timberwolf or Olsen blades , also , a mobile base is great for moving it around , you are going to love it , good luck with it.

    Happy Birthday!

That's the same model I bought a couple years ago. They're built like a brick house and so far as I can tell they are as good as anything out there in that size. I got mine at the showroom here (Springfield, MO), so I avoided the shipping cost. My shop is turning green quickly. So far, I've bought a milling machine, jointer, drum sander, dust collector, all sorts of consumables, and of course the bandsaw from Griz.

Now that's a shop ready to make some guitars! Is that the mobile base that Grizzly sells for $63 bucks?

    Grizzly.

Next up is to start saving for a dust collector.
