I know Duke has been discussed around here but this is the sweetest guitar arrangement I've ever heard!
The voice is just perfect... oh man, what a great moment must have been to watch live!

It's things like this that makes me want less gear and better skills!

Duke is awesome. Been playing the new Peter Wolf almost non-stop since I got it a couple weeks back.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

R&B and Soul work best in Clubs!
    The Giant Kings are COOL.

When Otis Redding said "I can't stop now" he was setting "the tone for the evening". The reason why Bars Today SUCK is because there's a serious shortage of SOUL MUSIC period.

...you do that stupid finger tapping & yag rapping but You don't have the sense to play "Land Of a 1000 Dances" or even "Louie Louie".

Kevin Barry's lap steel playing is the icing on the cake! Great tune, great groove; thanks for posting.

Best song I've heard so far today...just perfect 335 rhythm, excellent slide solo and the horns are icing on the cake. Thanks for posting xjazzy.

    Check this one out:

Killer Tele solo starts at 3:40. He basically picks up directly from the pedal steel player - tone, licks, phrasing - and runs with it. I wasn't looking the first time and had no idea the pedal player had stopped playing until the bottom started sounding too twangy. I plan to learn every single lick when I get home tonight. Great stuff.

Well, the solo on this doesn't suck (Duke always seems to be pretty darned tasty- from @ 5:15 or so).

The more I hear Duke, the more I like.

And, I was turned on to him here.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

For the next THREE minutes. And it's all stellar.

    Spellbinding! Honest!

    Thanks for sharing,

It is not just their ability to arrange and improvise, but how they play "the song" is what I like most.

The Kevin Barry / Duke Levine combo never fails to satisfy on many levels. This is the stuff. Duke always aknowledges Kevin's musicianship as his ability to play to a higher level while keeping things simple, and letting the song "breathe".
