Was playing at the Rainbow last night. Been singing it all day.
A favorite of thiers for sure.
One of my absolute favorite songs to cover in my old Alt rock band with my brother. His voice has that Corgan-ish or Staley-adjacent quality to it, and I'd sing the jerry parts. It was one of the best sounding covers we ever did vocally.
I bought the DvD of AiC unplugged in 2002ish, and probably played it more than the cd through high school. I had to buy the stupid dvd attachment for my original xbox because I got kicked off the living room dvd player and hadn't bought a dvd drive for my computer until 2005. That may have been the only DvD I watched in the xbox (it wouldn't always play copies......)
Love that version of specifically. Ripped the DVD to Plex ages ago and we still fire it up pretty regular. RIP Layne
And now it's stuck in my head. Didn't even have to listen to it. And that's ok, cuz it's an amazing song.
I can't believe it's been almost 20 years. RIP Layne. Still missing you.
Here. This’ll fix it.
I was just listening to No Excuses on the way to work, I didn't have enough time but I also wanted to play Down in a Hole.
This got it out of my head...
Great band, great vocalist. Shame he couldn't kick his habit.
I've had "Confusion" by ELO stuck in my head for about two weeks now
I happened to discover this version over the weekend. Part of a series of AIC covers by Mark Lanegan, Nancy Wilson, TAD, Fishbone and others.
I don't know nothing from Alice In Chains, but thanks to ELO I Can't Get If Out Of My Head...
I was too young when grunge exploded on the scene but sooner or later I had to find about Alice in Chains. And I did eventually.
Saw them live in 2019. I know that the singer is not the same anymore but I still really enjoyed the concert.
Besides Down in a Hole, this one is also an amazing song with a really powerful chorus:
That's the one I've been digging on lately.
Currently livin rent-free in muh brain.
Think yourselves lucky.
I have had the theme music from 70s cop show 'The Sweeney' going round in my wetware for days now. No idea why.
I've even infected Mrs Rocker by whistling it while doing the washing up...she says, quote: "now I've got the f@#cking Sweeney tune earworm too, thanks, a@#$%ole..."
She loves me really
Just made me laugh out loud!! Perfect remedy.
This was stuck in my head for a few weeks. A bit dated sounding, but at least it wasn't a terrible song stuck there...
When he kids were younger, I used to get the Barney songs stuck in my head. OMG OMG OMG get it out!
Metal used to do the trick. A few songs of Metallica or Megadeth, and Barney would disappear for weeks.
Not. Even. Going. To. Click.
Wise move. Not even zombies are a match for my K-Pop girls.
Wait! Zombies singing K-Pop? Zombie K-Pop? Z-Pop? Did we just invent a new music category?
(If the video showed that, sorry, it was blocked by my company proxy.)
