Another one, from the other side of Canada (BC) - Nomeansno/ Two Lips, Two Lungs, One Tongue + Rags and Bones

One of my favorite Canada stories is that in 1972, a CBC radio host asked listeners to call in with the end of the phrase "As Canadian as..." to come up with an analogue to "As American as apple pie."

One of the responses was "As Canadian as possible, under the circumstances"

Max Webster remains my top Canadian band. Rush are pretty good too. 😉

Likewise! I was born and raised in Burlington, and my older and very cool uncle who played drums made sure I was hip to Max Webster. He also bought me my first electric guitar, an entirely blue Westone Spectrum SX.

One of his prized possessions is one of Gary McCracken's drum sticks tossed into the audience when the band played his high school (L.B. Pearson) in the late 70's.

Happy Canada Day!
