I'm from Texas and would say my favorite Texas beer is Shiner bock, followed by Saint Arnold's Brewery...almost any of its beers.

I now live in Utah. I guess Uinta on the RR sign might be correct, but this is the real state beer:

Utah just eliminated its 3.2% beer law, leaving Minnesota as the only state that sells 3.2% beer...for now.

Nope.... wait yes, Sam Adams... I don't drink. I use beer for cooking, mainly as part of the over night marinade. Sam Adams make some good Marinades :D:oops:

True. But, it has a long history in PA. I don’t love it, but I thought it was an appropriate choice for the beer map.

Florida's is Cigar City Brewing out of Tampa. They make a wildly popular and quite disgusting IPA called "Jai Alai IPA". They also make a decent brown ale called Maduro Brown. There used to be a Helles style beer (Hotter than Helles) that was their regular beer, and it was decent. They have recently put out a generic lager called Tampa-style Lager. There's a bunch of other stuff as well. Every year they hold a festival/marketing stunt called Hunahpu's Day.

That's Holy City in South Carolina...and as already confirmed Aviator (bizarre choice) for N.C.

You will never meet a Scot who claims to be an expert on beer. Beer is just a refreshment, which sits on the bar, next to your real drink......or (horror!) instead of the good stuff, because you have been sworn off Drammies, by your Doctor or Wife. :(

Don't get me wrong.....Scotland has a 5000 year history of brewing and still produces good stuff- from traditional 80/- to a whole profusion of modern craft ales. The drinking man in the street is still a beer gourmand, though. If he's going to be nerdy or snobbish about alcohol, the subject is most unlikely to be beer, gin or wine..... :)

I haven’t read this entire thread. Utah has a Polygamy Porter which won’t be sold in North Carolina. This a joke here in Utah but NC says it promotes an illegal act.
And I thought Utards were uptight.

New Jersey has one Budweiser plant. But 82 micro-breweries.

Heck, I've been to and had plenty of Aviator, and I didn't recognize it.
Aviator is OK, but nothing that particularly stands out in their lineup. If the choice was up to me, they'd have the Burial Beer Co logo on NC. Or at least go with Foothills since they are the #1 producer of beer in the state by volume.
