Nice informal rendition of a tune that always tugged at my heartstrings. I think that's Tom Wolk in the middle, now deceased, who used to be Hall & Oates' bass man, and also played bass in the SNL band when it was led by G. E. Smith (Hall & Oates' guitarist). Lots of connections there!

That's a bit more than "informal."

Dang, how fun must that be?

He was a great musician, and from all reports, a great guy.
    RIP, T-Bone.

I remember the episode of Live From Darryl's House when TW died. Those guys were Gutted.
He left a void - we should all earn this kind of grieving when we check out.
    Peace - Deeve

Few song writers are sad or disappointed, when Darryl takes a crack at it.

Uplifting post, even as we miss Wolk.

I still respect this version, also:

WUTC's Richard Winham did a long and very interesting interview of Palmer's long time drummer, recently.

Todd is a gift from, uh, wherever gifts come from.
His music is incredibly melodic, memorable, soulful, joyful, rich, and varied.
I was hipped to TR (Runt, Something/Anything) in high school by my late friend, John Carlisle.
John was killed changing a tire on a band vehicle in the early 1990s, he might have been 30.
He hipped me to Hendrix, too.
    I digress, sorry.
Love me some Todd, and thanks, John.

If you could pull out an acoustic guitar and deliver a nice version of this song, young ladies' suspicions of you often melted away.

For a while, at least! :^)

One of my good friends, a girl who called herself "Prudence", adopted a tarantula as a pet and named him Todd. Among other deeds, she and I listened with great concentration to the Velvet Underground and realized, they lacked substance but would be a smash with hipsters, anyway.

Here's to absent friends, who gave us much but are no longer with us.

Live From Daryl's House is fantastic. Lot of great moments on that show.
And since we're talking T-Bone Wolk here are, as Daryl said in his liner notes, T-Bone's last notes played on Earth (he dies 4 days into the making of this album):

Used to love that show. But, it seems to have stopped production some time ago. Sort of appears the operation of the restaurant and club superseded the show. Too bad. There are a few artists I would have loved to see on that show.
