From what movie? One of my favorite scenes. It was just on Starz.
Butch and Sundance?
Yup. Great scene. At least it was when I was a kid. Does the movie still hold up from start to finish?
i think so and i don`t give a pfft what anyone else thinks
"I can't swim!"
"Well, the fall will probably kill you."
rules? in a knife fight?
It occurs to me that there's movies I've seen dozens of times (like The Graduate, Godfather I & II, the Natural, Goodfellas, Shawshank Redemption, etc.) but I can't remember the last time I saw Butch Cassidy--or The Sting for that matter
It still holds up for me but I am easy. In saying that I found it right before that scene and watched through the Move Scene. I didn’t keep watching to see them die.
Love it. Watched it last month.
Butch Cassidy: I don't want to sound like a sore loser, but when it's over, if I'm dead, kill him.
The Sundance Kid: With pleasure.
Move? What the hell you mean move?!
I’m better if I move.
What many people are unaware of is, that scene where Sundance is accused of cheating at cards featured THREE great actors.....Paul Newman, Robert Redford AND Donnelly Rhodes. (as the accuser) He's been featured in many great roles, most notably DiVinci's Inquest, a Canadian TV series. Sadly, he passed away two years ago.
Sam Elliott is in that scene too. Got a line as Uncredited Card Player #2.
WOW!.....I never caught that! Thanks for the info.
Butch Cassidy is a great flick. Definitely holds up. I'm a big fan of just about any Paul Newman project including the salad dressing.
