I think that the Stratocaster American Deluxe requires a Deluxe neck to fit the cut-away heel pocket correctly, right?

Does the Tele American Deluxe also require a Tele Deluxe neck for proper fit, or can any correct-spec Tele neck fit on the Tele Deluxe body?

I have a 72 deluxe reissue with the universal neck pocket. It would except a tele or strat neck. Not sure if this answers you question.

Thanks, Justin. It sounds like a Tele Deluxe neck pocket has the same specification for a Tele neck fit as any other Tele, right?

No, I wasn't asking if the Tele Deluxe can accept a Strat neck.

I just wanted to know... if I bought an American Standard Tele Deluxe BODY, would the neck from any other Tele model fit the Deluxe body? Or does a Tele Deluxe body require a Tele DELUXE neck?

Hopefully someone with more experience on this than I can confirm.

As long as they both use the same mount style they will. If it's a standard 4 screw mount use the same. Same goes if its micro tilt style. All standard Tele necks have the same neck pocket dimensions.

The only two I can think of that are different are the Modern Player and the Squier VM Thinline.
