Can a pedal develop a sudden dislike for being daisy-chained...

...after years of being OK with it?



I have an old Marshall Supervibe Chorus that now makes all kinds of racket unless it has an isolated supply.

Any ideas???

I don’t think the pedal ‘developed’ a problem. Did you change/add a new pedal? Some pedals (especially digital ones) don’t play nice on a daisy chain.

Pedal probably got fed-up of being stamped-on all the time

All pedals should have isolated power. It’s really that simple. Never share power because eventually you will (will) land on the right set of circumstances and you’ll fry a pedal.

Isolated power is the way to go. Maybe the pedal has a leaky cap which is making it more susceptible to noise?
