Looking to play music with some folks
Native! Deep family roots going back to the Gold Rush.
So many people come to CA looking for something. I actually ended up kinda lonely, surrounded by fast-paced Eastern transplants who didn't really "know how" IMHO.
Asheville has the right stuff for me these days.
I'm a 5th Gen Californian myself. My Italian ancestor ditched his fishing boat in San Francisco in 1850 and I'm one of the only ones to leave the Bay Area in that whole line.
The transplant deal is out of control, especially in Southern California
Isn't the California Club a sandwich at Quizno's?
Reseda. There'a a freeway running through my yard.
Actually, not. Near as I can figure Reseda doesn't touch a freeway.
That's what people once said about your ancestor, except not SoCal.
But, to shift gears, I don't think a lot people realize how much Italians had to do with settling California.
5th generation Ventura. Family came here in 1882
Always wondered about that line. When I hear the song I would think to myself "The only way to Reseda is through the streets"

Bay Area. But really, I'm a transplant; came from the Midwest, and I've only lived here 35 years now...
