I have been thinking about this build for ages, but I've been away from guitar building/modding for some time.

The plan is to have one TV Jones (thinking Classic) pickup with tone and volume only. I cannot find the Fender diagram anywhere for their circuit. I would really like to do the greasebucket tone mod on it too!

I've searched Google and the forum and I can't find it! I know I've seen it before. The few threads that I think might have helped have dead links or pictures that no longer appear!

Any insights? I play a lot of clean, but like a little crunch from time to time. Any input on which TV Jones to get? Classic? Classic+? Powertron?

Thanks ladies and gents for any input!

This is what I'm going for btw...

Good representation of what I have in my head anyway.

I wouldn't bother with the tone control or greasebucket.

I built this guitar with the same idea... in March 2014

I didn't like the single pickup and by December 2014 it looked like this.

There is a circuit halfway down this thread:

    http://www.tdpri.com/threads/250k-500k-or-1000k-audio-taper-pots.214280/

I'm building a two pickup cabronita with Creamery Black Cat filtertrons. I play a lot of clean too, and will be using the greasebucket in my build.

My general feel is that filtertron type pups are bright enough to give lots of usable sounds with full and rolled off tone, and I suppose I'll find out when I finish my build...

I'm 99% certain this is the one I'd seen before, and what I was envisioning!

    Thanks so much!

It'll be a build, so if I don't like the tone, I'll change it! Thanks for the input.

By the way, that's a wild looking guitar! I love the British Racing Green and the three filtertrons. TV Jones? What'd you put in there?

It had a Fender Fidelitron in the single pickup version and when I put 3 in it I used 3 TV Jones classics with a classic plus in the bridge.
The color is Sherwood Green with an aged amber clear top coat.
