    Simplicity.
And it really does work well in this guitar.

Even though I did add vol/tone controls to mine, in it's stock form it really is very usable.
I ride the controls a lot with my other Tele's, so I wondered about it, too. But I used my Thinline stock for over a year and was good with it. The Fidelitrons respond amazingly well to simple volume control adjustments.
Brian Setzer's signature Gretsch Hot Rod models run that same setup - one volume control and a 3-way switch.

That said, I like mine even better since I added the dual controls.

I have two - a thinline blonde and black solid body that I bought in the end of run blowout from Thomann. The thinline (my avatar) is pretty but the solid body Cab gets played much more. Both still totally standard apart from the scotchbrite treatment on the necks and some just for fun pickguard changes. Love the necks, the tones and the simplicity. Really nice guitars.

Your spelling makes me wonder if you really are a doctor of teleocity like your avatar proclaims

Did you study next to Dr Nick Riviera of The Simpsons, at the Hollywood Upstairs School of Medicine?

I love mine for playing rock. Almost always play it through a small amp at full blast, so it's just tube drive crunch. FUN!

MIM Thinline and MIA solid body. The MIM needed a bridge replacement and it now has FilterTrons. Thinking of adding a typical Tele control assembly. Will definitely upgrade nut at some point. To be honest while the finish was great, the neck fine and the neck to body pocket fit superb, other aspects were disappointing. The bridge rattled and added an unwanted metallic sound to some strings. The top e string is too close to edge of neck. Minimal tapering on the volume pot so I ended up upgrading everything except the switch. The jury is still out on the tuners!

Despite the issues with the MIM it is a player and has a lot of charm of its own. No issues with the MIA which came with TV Jones Classics oem. But then the MIA cost twice as much.

I've had these guitars for about three years. They get rotated in and out.

Forgot to add, Cabronitas are perfect for when you are jamming with people who already play Teles or Strats. Pull out a Tele with FilterTrons and you get your own space in the mix!

The guitar in my avatar is my #2 Tele, demoted only because my Professional knocked her off. Still play her lots.

After I swapped out the not so great bridge pickup with something much better this has become a keeper. A little blue loctite on the bridge screws fixed any back out issues. 20161227_163059-01.jpeg

I was very lucky to have acquired the the CS La Cabronita Especial that was the grand prize in TDPRI's 2009 fund-raiser. Single TV Jones pup is awesome. Light body, best neck I own. It is one of my two favorite guitars in the herd. Plays and sounds great and is very versatile.

The Cab I got seems to have been custom built for someone, who didn;t then want it.
I got it from a music store in Iowa through Reverb.
It has a MIM neck and TV Jones pickups.
And it is making me question my usual tastes, because it works 20170501173044.jpg so well.

I finished mine about a year ago. I put in a single Fidelitron.
Seems to be a one -trick to me.
I really haven't tried playing with different tone/volume combinations because it sounds pretty dark with the tone all the way up.
