I'm trying to find a way to connect the footswitch connection on my Fender Princeton Reverb RI to my Gigrig G2, so I can turn the tremolo on and off from the G2. I assumed (wrongly) I could just use a regular trs cable. When I tried this there was an audible clicking sound coming from the amp. Doing a little research I found this is because on the regular footswitch, the reverb and tremolo lines are separated.

So can I buy a cable somewhere that will do this with quarter inch jacks on both ends? If not can I just take the footswitch that came with the amp, cut the cable where the switch is, and solder a trs jack on the end? Thanks for any info!

@Big Twang Theory Were you connecting the TRS cable to the Remote Switches inputs on the G2 and your footswitch input on the amp?

No, it's a reissue PR and has the 1/4 plug.

Is your TRS cable shielded? The Fender reverb switch requires a shielded cable.

Hmm, I doubt it. Just bought the first long trs cable that came up on Amazon search. This may be a good place to start. Thanks Mexitele!
