    I am going to check out a used Fender blues junior, limited edition bought in 2010. The owner wants to sell it for 400 euros.

    I dont think the tubes have ever been changed though the owner insisted that the amp has not been used a lot. Do I need to change the tubes for such an amp?

    What are your opinions on this? Is it actually a good deal?

    Any other tips for buying used tube amps?

    You know it’s 600€ new? You could make an offer for 300, or whatever you are willing to pay for that brown Tolex color which is cool. Expect to change the tubes (no big deal). You should factor the cost of tube swapping with good paired tubes (80€)

    It's clean looking, which is one factor. Play through it, check out the sound, and, if possible, have a tech check it out. Pricewise, with the exchange rate where it is, the price in USD is around $450, which is more than I would pay for one- but then, again, I'm not a fan of the BJ's tone-too boxy. That being said, if you like the tone, and it checks out, the price is in range, so I vote no for me, but yes, maybe, for you.
