    Hi,

I'm hoping you all could raise any flags before I get going on a Telepcaster. Any advice, hints, etc, are greatly appreciated.

I'm thinking blond/yellow 52 body with a Warmoth neck and Stewmac parts.

1 piece swamp ash with a maple/maple neck.

I'll wind the pickups and keep it simple.

Tru-oil finish for the body and neck, and that's about it.

    Any qualms?

    Thanks,

How do you get a blonde/yellow body with Tru-oil?

I'll dye it or find a tinted grain filler?

Look into shellac as an alternative to Tru-Oil for a no-spray body finish. A lot to speak for it in finishing swamp ash to the appearance you're shooting for.
