$157.44. That may include some duplicated items like small screws, nuts, wire. I didn't take the time to be that specific. Let's say $150. That, plus the $55 loss on the pcb puts me at $205 more for hand wired vs pcb. I never intended to sell it anyway, so I think I'll continue with the pcb. Of course, that $205 might wind up in a tech's pocket in the end anyway. I'll think about it for a day or two.

Turret boards are easier to replace parts and do mods on, but there are no inherent tonal advantages over pcb's. In fact, wire lead length is longer with turret board construction, so more potential for noise. But turret boards allow you to do your own thing a lot more easily, so I too prefer them.

My thoughts...1st, thank you for letting me butt in to your post. 2nd, I'm guessing the pcb route saved me about $100 on a Princeton Reverb build, not really worth it when you consider turret vs pcb.

Sorry for the late reply but I did it! It is my favorite amp, no issues, others are amazed at the tone. Total cost for me was $470. I have the ability to build both ways and would do it again. It is a lot of amp for under $500. I think the savings is more than $100. Most do not keep good track of their costs and there is a lot that goes into a Deluxe Reverb.
