My home build 61 Sonic Blue Tele relic. Thin nitro pine body, Fender neck, USA '62 and Twisted Tele pickups.

Very nice. So nice to see a "relic" w/o a terrible looking maple fretboard.

Looks like an $8,000 custom shop job. Clay dots really add the exclamation point.

    Wow thanks!
The "clay" dots are actually just the regular dots on the MIM neck that I've dyed with brown leather dye :) Fake, but they look better me than the bright white plastic they really are!

You are a man of great taste, I dig all of your home built teles and this one is simply amazing!
Great, great looking guitar, bet she sounds and plays sweet.

Beautiful as usual. You don't see pine a lot for 60's type builds, but I'm actually doing
the same thing with a pine body and MIM Classic 60s neck. I usually prefer thicker necks,
but there's something about those classic 60s necks.

I actually didn't plan pine, I just came across this body on a guitar forum in the UK.

I really like the MiM classic necks too. I round off the edges, take gloss poly off the back, I have the frets reprofiled to a 10 radius to keep the feel of 7.25 but no choking . Tim Marten did the fretwork on this one and it feels just great.
