I am thinking about getting a Bugera V5 but would love to brighten and round out the sound. Any tips are greatly appreciated!

Hi, lots of info available on the v5, the link below is a good place to start. The original model is easier to mod, the later 'infinium" is more difficult due to surface mount components. However either model can have the bright caps mod and a new speaker.
    Happy reading.

I had one that had been modded to take a 10” speaker. It sounded awesome with a 10 inch Fender Emminence speaker.

Whoever modded it had to carve about 1/4” dip on the bottom panel to get the speaker to fit, but it looked like an easy mod.

That sounds like it is beyond my capabilities but I bet it sounds great! Speaker size definitely is holding the amp back. Thanks for replying!

    Stock is ok.
    Isnt a fender sound amp.
If you want some bright buy a blackstar or other.
I love mine in stock form.
Sound more close to my ac4tv10 than Fenders.

I have the V5 infinium. Speaker sucks, I bought an EHX power tube for it but haven't gotten around to installing it yet (haven't played it much since I bought my Supro).

Theres easier to mod 5w el84 stuff around, but it's not awful. Most people are happy with it after speaker and tube swap. I may try a 10 eventually. But that's probably your easiest brightness enhancer is a speaker.

It's not going to sound fendery. Most small el84 amps aren't aiming for that sound.
