...died 15 years ago today. The story I heard was that Buck was rehearsing with his band at the Crystal Palace and wasn’t feeling good. He decided to skip the night’s show and headed for home. But while in the parking lot a family recognized him and struck up a conversation with the star, telling him how much they loved his music and how excited they were to finally get to see him perform (they had driven from Colorado). Buck immediately turned around and went back into his club to
play his usual show for them. Later the same night Buck went to bed for the last time. He was found dead the next morning of an apparent heart attack.

    RIP sir

Sometimes you have to learn to say "no", but it is hard to do when you value your fans that much. Buck, Tom Petty....the list is long with people placing their fans above their own health.

RIP, Buck. Thanks for all the music. Give my best to Don Rich, and thank him, too.

It's weird to upvote a sad post, but I appreciate the post.

I've only learned to appreciate him in the last couple of years, thanks to this forum.
