Gosh I’d love to have a mid 60s maple cap , there’s a 65 maple cap on reverb I wish I had the cash for
Dons tele is awesome, what an iconic axe that is, mmmmm checkered binding
Fender should make these as a tribute (non custom shop USA of course)
Is that a Velvet Hammer in the bridge of the Don Rich tele?

FWIW, my '68 Tele is an original sparkle silver / rosewood. Does not have the black binding.
If I had one of those blue Nudie suits that Don was wearing, I would wear it every day (inside the house, of course).
I wonder if the rough texture of the rhinestones (or whatever they were) gave the back of their guitars a severe case of "buckle rash"?
But then it would be "Nudie Rash"- not something you would admit to, in public or that the doc could cure.
If I had nudie rash, I'd be too busy bragging to go to the doc...
Interesting this one of Don's was fitted with a G&L ASAT Classic Bridge pickup...
Wonder whether Buck himself did this? Most folks are familiar with the Fender Buck Owens' Custom Shop edition Telecaster tho many folks do not know that Leo beat his former Company to the punch in the early 90's with the original Buck Owens' G&L ASAT Classic...
