    Bryce Harper his .243 with 24 HR's last year, and now is asking for a $400 million contract. I just have to laugh. Kids got a bit of PT Barnum in him

    I believe it is after the 2018 season (he has 2 years left on his contract). I'm betting that Harper will be a Yankee starting with the 2019 season

    He has had 1 Hall of Fame season and 3 pretty good seasons. That doesn't add up to $400 million

    Yep, you are right. If Washington can't get close on the contract, they should consider trading him while they can get something of value in return.

    That's all he hit last year, .243 w/only 24 HRs...wow. I didn't follow much baseball in 2016, didn't know that's all he put up. Not good numbers for a guy with his pedigree.

    Yeah, he did have a .373 OBP and played great defense, it just wasn't at all the superstar season he had in 2015

    I'd have to be PRETTY squeaky to get $400m from my employer. In fact, I am pretty sure I couldn't be squeaky enough.

    I'm a Nats fan and even I can't see that being worth it. They need a little more bullpen and both Werth and Zimmerman probably don't have more than one more good season in them. Especially Zim. That 400m would go a long way towards some serious rebuilding
