Lovepedal Kalamazoo scratches that itch for me!
There’s a clone of the Kalamazoo by Tone City (Mandragora, $56). Never having played on a Lovepedal I can’t give a comparison, but I do use it a lot. At low settings you can almost count the grits.

I’ve wondered why no one cloned the Scholz Rockman. That was pretty glassy.

Oh yeah! The Mandragora is a great Mini-Me of the Kalamazoo! I didn't own them simultaneously, but for this discussion it would certainly fit the bill. I'm also a little curious about their "Durple", a Mandragora variation, but my appetite for the Slight Variation isn't there these days. It feels like the overdrive market is fueled by "aha! This is the pedal you know... BUT WITH A LITTLE TWIST!".

My best setup for "sparkle" is the JHS Clover with the high pass filter on, through my Deluxe Memory Man. The Clover hits the DMM preamp a certain way.

That is a fantastic clean boost. I prefer my Naga Viper (not better IMO, just different) so I sold the Clover, but it is a real gem. Thanks for the suggestion.

I just picked up a Vox Silk Drive today after watching a few youtube vids. Seems to do the glassy thing in spades, but doesn't boost the real high treble so it doesn't seem to have the icepick sound that a lot of treble boosts have. At least that's how I hear it in the videos. I guess I'll find out soon!

I've played the naga. The harmonics it delivers are a special something. It's one of the only boost style pedals I'd still drop money for if I saw one for sale.

Brunetti Taxi drive would fit the bill nicely, though there aren't many demos out there. Very smooth, full, can be very bright, not a lot of mids to go grindy, buzzy or gnarly, the best stacking pedal I've ever had and imo it looks fantastic (but I'm posting on my phone so you'll have to go and look)
