I have a 2018 MIM Tele and think the stock bridge pup is awesome for rock tones. If you want more of a humbucker sound, roll off the tone knob about 1/3. I prefer the middle and neck positions for blues, but the bridge is good too.

The Stock MIM pickups with the dual ceramic magnets can be plenty hot for rock if put closer to the strings or be more of a twangy country machine if lowered. You can also get more power out of a Tele bridge pickup if you put a steel plate behind the pickup.

The 4-way switch mod is a very useful change, gives you a stealth Les Paul hot humbucker. Typical Tele pickups of 7kohm neck and 8kohm bridge in series gives you a 15kohm hot humbucker.

Where you pick and what knobs you turn can make a Tele play all the musics...
