I installed brass saddles and replaced the pick guard since I'm the weirdo who does not like mint green...at all. I really think it sounds a little better with the brass, but maybe it's just in my head. As soon as my BootStrap pickups arrive I will swap out all of the electronics then probably call it done. I didn't plan to do so much of an overhaul but I decided this guitar feels nice enough that it's worth it to me. Guitars come and go but I think this ones a keeper. IMG_20201024_113902.jpg

I don't know about the binding but ditching the mint green definitely improved the tone for me. LoL

I don't love sunbursts but the black looks better to me than mint (which I like) would on that. A least no tortoises were involved.

    Looking good!

Did you file grooves for the strings in the compensated saddles?

I'm glad mint guards exist, but they should be used in moderation.

Fender is grossly overusing them now. Looks much better with the black.

I had steel saddles and replaced them with brass on a 62 reissue bridge home made tele- the brass is a bit warrmer-not so bright and piercing. I prefer brass at least on that guitar with nocaster pickups- subtle difference but I could hear it

Oddly I got it pretty damn close as it is. I'm not gonna switch it around until I do the electronics.
